Location and Working Hours The role is based in Shoreditch, London and Directors are expected to work from the company’s offices and/or client’s offices 4 days a week.
Requirements The role will involve travel around the UK and across Europe.

Candidates must have an existing right to work in the U.K. Unfortunately we do not sponsor U.K. work visas.

Company Overview

Equitory, a well-established Investor Relations consultancy, is seeking a client servicing Director or Associate Director (depending on experience) to join its team.

At Equitory, we specialise in outsourced IR, advising companies throughout the capital markets cycle from private companies with debt investors, companies going through an IPO process, to large listed companies. Our clients include well-known, highly regarded brands, and the work is fast-paced and varied.

This position is ideal for an in-house IR professional who wants to broaden their IR experience and step up to a more senior, Board-facing role.

Key Responsibilities

 

As a Director or Associate Director of Investor Relations, you will:

  • Lead and deliver IR strategies for a portfolio of clients
  • Contribute to Equitory’s growth through new business development and pitching, including in Europe
  • Build trusted relationships with Boards, senior management, investors and advisers
  • Set and communicate clear equity story messaging
  • Lead investor targeting, meetings and analyst engagement
  • Ensure best practice across IR websites, results and annual reporting
  • Support transactions including IPOs, M&A and takeovers
  • Lead and develop client teams, including Managers and Associates
About You

You’ll bring:

  • Strong financial knowledge, with the ability to build and interrogate financial models; a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA) is preferred
  • In-house IR experience
  • Additional experience in a client-facing or advisory role helpful
  • Existing relationships with UK and/or European listed companies advantageous
  • A strong understanding of equity markets, regulation and disclosure requirements
  • Confidence engaging with institutional investors and sell-side analysts
  • Board-level presence and the ability to deliver clear, balanced advice
